You see, compassionate people need to self-author their healing journey with special guidance as they integrate their complex emotions, not eliminate or shame them.

All too often medical and psychology professionals don't take this into account. Methods like cognitive therapy definitely have their place, but they have their limitations for deeply feeling people.

And not all depressions or anxieties are fixed with medication. Often times we need to dive deep into what is really going on within our emotions so we can heal in a very real way.

Championing the compassionate

Too many compassionate people live with unresolved pain and trauma that prevent them from living up to their true potential.

I believe that what the world needs right now is for the truly compassionate to rise up and have their voice heard in the world.

This will only happen when we heal from the inside out. When we free ourselves of pain and trauma, we open ourselves up to discover how to become fearlessly aligned with our most authentic self.

And on top of it all: Compassionate people often suffer from being too tolerant of toxic people's neglectful and abusive behaviours.

Why? Because compassionate people love too give and tend to focus far too much on everyone else's needs over their own, even with people who don't have their best interests in mind.

Your mind matters

You see, more than anyone else, compassionate people are like sponges who absorb what's happening around them, including the negative.

Toxic people don't care how they affect you. They don't care how much you suffer. We have to stop hoping they'll change.

It's our job to find out how to protect ourselves, how to heal and how to set up boundaries so we stop their toxicity from harming us.

  • Being critical, insulting, and abusive
  • Being narcissistic, bullying, and discounting
  • Expressing racism, sexism, and elitism
  • Making you feel anxious, insignificant, and inferior

Science has proven that toxicity robs us of self-confidence and creates in us:

  • Persistent negative beliefs about our own value and self-worth
  • Persistent negative emotions that create insecurities and self-doubt
